2022.07.22 Early developmental stages of the sea urchin Sphaerechinus granularis (Lamarck, 1816) (Echinoidea: Toxopneustidae)
Marine Biology Research
A descriptive paper in which we detailed the early developmental stages - embryogenesis and larval development - of the sea urchin Sphaerechinus granularis. This species has been recently used for different experimental tests but no current description existed and few microphotographs of its development are scattered in literature. This paper provides a baseline to understand how this and other toxopneustid echinoid species develop.
